Reconstruction of shoreline protection structures in Ventspils Freeport

     Reconstructing shoreline protection structures stretch over the territory of Ventspils Freeport, near the piece of land “Dienvidu mols 5” to which in 2018 an access road along the old freezers, was built. Existing shoreline protection structures have served their time, and no more did they meet the requirements, imposed by port's mission to enhance regularly the level of safety. That is why, with a purpose to improve port infrastructure and advance level of navigation safety, it was decided to carry out huge reconstruction works on it. Project prescribes dismantling of its previous structures, bottom clearance and soil digging till the mark of anchors. In spring, after the winter break, the works will be commenced with sheet pile deepening. Total cost of the works amounts to 1,4 million euro and works are scheduled to be finished in Autumn 2019.
