Geotechnical surveys

Geotechnical Department performs engineering and geological surveys on-shore and off-shore, performs sounding, laboratory research, drilling and sampling, has respective software and uses the following machines and equipment in its work:

Penetration test

CPTU (static penetration test with pore pressure measurement)

qC (front resistance) up to 50 MPa
fS (side friction) up to 0.5 MPa
U (pore pressure) up to 2.5 MPa
Sounding depth up to 40 м

CPT-Begemann (static penetration test with pore pressure measurement)

qC (front resistance) up to 100 MPa
fS (side friction) up to 1.0 MPa
Sounding depth up to 40 м

DPSH (dynamic penetration test with super heavy hammer 63,5 kg) sounding depth up to 30 m.
SPT (standard penetration test) sounding depth up to 30 m
FVT(field vane test) sounding depth up to 30 m
PLT (plate loading test):  pavement, embankment etc.

Registration and interpretation of CPTU data with TGSW02 (license “PAGANI geotechnical equipment”, Italy)

Laboratory testing

  • physical and mechanical properties of soils

Drilling and sampling

  • undisturbed sampling with "Shelby"-sampler
